Venad Meat Products is the latest venture of Venad Poultry Farmers Producer Company, a Farmer Producer Organisation (FPO), established by NABARD under Govt. of India scheme. The FPO is managed by a five-member Director Board elected by the shareholder farmers. The head office is at Kottarakkara, with branches at Poruvazhy and Kannur and has established its first state-of-the-art semi-automatic chicken dressing plant in Poruvazhy, Kollam. The FPO helps farmers in establishing small and large poultry farms. We supply Hi-Tech poultry cages, BV380 layer birds, Poultry Feeds, Medicines, Vaccines, Poultry equipments , Modern Chicken Cutting Stalls with NABARD grant, Biogas plants, Aerobic composting units, etc. We conduct hands-on training programs in Hi-tech layer farming, Broiler production, Hygienic Chicken Dressing, etc. utilizing our own facilities.
Poultry birds are grown by farmers of Venad FPO as per strict protocol and under the supervision of veterinarian. Cost of inputs like Day Old Chicks, Feed, etc are met by FPO. Farmers are given remuneration based on number of birds reared. Use of antibiotics and growth promoters are strictly prohibited. Complete details meat is encrypted in the QR code and consumers can have the details by scanning QR code using any Mobile App.
